Need artificial eyelashes for a sultry glance? Nonsense. Follow these tips and from now on you will flash everyone with your own Bambi eyelashes.
1. Bend the brush
Before applying mascara: bend the brush at a 90-degree angle to the stem. Because of that adjustment, you get the brush easier against the onset of your lashes, so that from start to finish color.
2. Horizontal = thick, vertical = natural
For natural, long lashes, take the brush vertically through your eyelashes (go with the tip from end to end, tuft for tuft); if you want thicker eyelashes, you just move it horizontally from end to end.
3. Above and below
Paint the under and the top of your eyelashes to give them some extra thickness. Look upwards to do the bottom and down to the top.
4. Baby Powder
Look after a layer of mascara lubricated to have a bus of baby powder and an eyeshadow brush on. Put some powder on your eyelashes with the brush and apply a second layer of mascara. It now takes a silly turn. Consequence: volume like never before.
5. Waterproof over it
Waterproof mascara is the best in curling and sitting. It is a pity that it is so difficult to get rid of your lashes at the end of the day. The trick: apply a layer of ordinary mascara first, then the waterproof. So it’s easy to get rid of your eyelashes.
6. Hot tub
Does your mascara start to clump? Or do you not get the last bit out of the package? Put it in a cup of hot water for a few minutes. The heat liquifies the mascara so that the brush goes up again and does not clump anymore.
7. Double function
Take an eyeliner brush along the mascara brush and put a mascara line very close to your lash line. Then apply mascara as you normally do. Hello, intense glance!
8. Toothbrush
Are there lumps on your eyelashes despite your extremely secure painting? Grab a clean, dry, toothbrush and gently pull through your eyelashes. The lumps will stick to the stiff bristles.
9. Blow-dry your eyelash curler
You know: the warmer a curling iron, the longer the curl keeps. This also applies to your eyelash curler. Put your hair dryer on for a few seconds so that it warms up and then curl your lashes as you normally would. Note: before you start to curl, feel your fingers with your fingers. You do not want to damage the delicate skin around your eyes.
10. Curl in three steps
For a perfect curl three steps are required:
1. Squeeze your lashes at the end of the pliers, and squeeze the tongs ten times. You bounce on the rubber of the pliers (that feels a bit like pumping).
2. Put the pliers halfway through your eyelashes and do the same as in step 1.
3. Put the pliers on 2/3 of your lashes and curl the tip (again as in step 1).
11. First start, then ends
To keep the curl in your eyelashes all day long, you first wiggle your mascara brush back and forth at the end, then pull it towards the ends. That way you do not put too much weight on that. If you do, the curl will drop in no time.
12. Vaseline
Before you go to sleep, lubricate a thin layer of Vaseline on your eyelashes. She takes care of that, which means she breaks down less quickly. This gives them the opportunity to grow nicely for a long time.
